Walking the Test Way for a Sustainable Future
At InteriorLAB, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. As an ISO 14001-certified company, we are committed to minimising waste, conserving energy, and using resources responsibly, both on our project sites and in our daily operations.
That’s why on Sunday, September 29, 2024, we took part in the ‘Walk the Test Way’ charity walk organised by the Rotary Club of Romsey, supporting the vital work of Wessex Rivers Trust. As a company based in Petersfield, we wanted to give back to our local community and contribute to the conservation of our waterways – something we feel strongly about.
Our team, along with friends, family, and even a few dogs, tackled different routes of the walk, making it an inclusive and enjoyable day for all. Beyond the scenic countryside and great company, the day offered valuable insights into the importance of protecting and restoring our local rivers, ensuring they remain thriving ecosystems for wildlife and future generations.
Gary Everson, Project Manager at InteriorLAB, shared:
"InteriorLAB’s commitment to sustainability was a factor in my decision to join the company. When the opportunity came up to support a charity that aligns with these values, I was more than happy to take part."
Kristian Kinnersley, Operations Director, added:
"It was a fantastic event and a great way to support a cause that reflects our company’s values. We’re already looking forward to our next charitable initiative."
Alongside our participation, we’re proud to have raised over £800 for Wessex Rivers Trust - an added bonus to the awareness generated through our campaign.
“Support from local businesses like InteriorLAB makes a real difference to the work we do. Every pound raised helps us protect and restore vital chalk streams like the River Test, ensuring they remain healthy for wildlife and for future generations. We're so grateful to the team for walking the walk – quite literally – for our rivers.” Alex McKay, Communications Officer, Wessex Rivers Trust.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us. We look forward to the next event!
