Directions:
Take the central path so the river is on your right and the tennis courts are on your left, walk down past the tennis pavilion and the next way maker is on the stone bridge crossing the river.

• Rudd are an invasive species which tolerate a wide temperature range and water conditions meaning they can live in a lot of places.
• However, they like clean water and will bread in places with dense aquatic vegetation making it more likely to find them in particular habitats.
• They are top dwellers meaning they hunt along the surface of the water eating smaller fish and insects near the surface and can eat up to 40% of their bodyweight in a day!
• They are a coppery golden colour with bright red fins and large yellow eyes, they also have an upturned mouth helping them to eat creatures near the surface.
• Rudd are often found in shoals and you can get hybrids of Rudd and Roach.
