Directions:

You can either extend the nature trail by crossing the road and going round the Upper Gardens (South) or you can continue along this one by turning left and following the path round into the other entrance.

Did you know?

• Minnow are a small fish that are 4-10cm long and are a green/sliver colour.
• They live in freshwater rivers and streams.
• Minnows live for 2-5yrs and are often found in shoals.
• They feed on insects, plant debris and fish eggs and are eaten by larger fish, such as Brown trout, and birds, such as kingfishers.
• Minnows will spawn multiple times between April and June finding shallow gravelly beds.
Females can lay up to 1,000 eggs each breading season.
