Again take the lower path so you are closer to the river and just follow it along until you reach the road where the way maker will be on a cycling sign. 

Did you know?

• Their scientific name is Lutra lutra and are also part of the weasel family (same as the America Mink)
• They are native to the UK and are top of the river food web, feeding on fish such as trout or even birds. Otters can catch prey equal to their own body weight.
• Otters live throughout the UK, however there are hotspots in Wales and the South West of England.
• They like areas with clean water, plenty of food and vegetation for cover
• Otters create holts (nests) in riverbanks, tree roots or rocky crevices lining them with grasses, ferns and reeds.
• You are most likely to spot an otter during dusk or dawn as they are mainly active at night.
• During the 1950s otters were almost forced into extinction due to habitat destruction, hunting and chemicals leaching into the water, but now laws have been put in place to protect them.
